Looks good! How many servings (size of an orange) do you get? Have you found rocks that hold up so you avoid grit? It would be interesting to hear what you have learned about this process.
Thanks! We can boil enough Minomin to feed 10 people in the evening and in the morning.. that container hold quite a bit! Yes, the grit is still an issue – we’re working out the kinks, and it’s better than when we started!
We’ve been experimenting a lot with different kinds of stones. Seems like anything that’s grainy sandstone/quartz, and/or has cracks in it is a no-go. It takes a hot fire around a bunch of stones (sweat-lodge style) to heat up the number of rocks we need, and then we put in the rocks in two batches. Let them steam for a while after each one.
