I am off the waiting list, in a bad way.email was 5/25 and went to the promotions folder in Gmail Have you been removed from the waiting list? I`m curious because on the one hand, people here and also at Stanford tell them not to send more things, but on the other hand, some people say they should send an email/letter (including someone who has been added to the extended waiting list) because it couldn`t hurt, So I`m kind of conflicted with the fact that it sounds. as if your contribution was related to LOCI or the waiting list – please visit the A2C LOCI wiki page to get started. Other helpful discussions include: Still on five T14 waiting lists that I would participate in if offered, but I struggle to balance my current school`s plans with the hope of a WL admission. Is it normal for this to drag on until the first day of school? The entire Harvard WL to As gave me hope that it would infiltrate, but it seems that no other school is moving. Idk if they changed it, but before that, they made it clear that they wanted nothing more than anything in the update boxes (500 characters). However, you can provide updates multiple times to give (concisely) even more information! I did and got off the waiting list). Good luck! Is it impossible for you to be out of one of the waiting lists, even until classes start? No. Is that likely at this point? And no. You should anticipate that there will be no waiting list movement in the future, whether you attend your chosen school or reapply. I wish you well, and the waiting list movement will surely take place at the end of the summer. But given that schools are reporting excess enrolment rather than under-enrollment, I think it`s highly unlikely that there will be much, if any, T13 waitlist movement for the rest of the summer. I know it`s frustrating, and it will most likely be a rejection, but the school says there`s a chance they`ll have to dive in to correct a very specific deficiency, and you`re a selected finalist.
Hello! I was removed from Stanford`s waitlist a week ago and just filled out the update form with new achievements/information. I didn`t send a LOCI because they asked in the update form not to send anything other than this form. Good luck! I`ve heard a lot of stories of people being admitted on the first day of orientation or even the first day of class – if you weren`t able to pick up and leave your current school at the last minute to attend one of these other schools, then I would recommend just staying with the current school and committing to visiting there. If you really don`t like your current school for some reason, you can always aim for high grades of 1L and consider switching after your 1L year. If you do this at that time, it will have no effect on your transcript and most likely only the school you attend for your 2L and 3L years will appear there. If you decide to persevere to the end, I wish you good luck! I myself came off a waiting list (although I did not like elsewhere after pulling a little too high on my applications) until the end, so here we are together!! In addition, any information about the “extended waiting list” or if you have an overview of my questions would be greatly appreciated; Thank you very much! I`m in a school I`d rather go to than Stanford. unless I`m not on the waiting list. I`m waiting for a school to be back with me because I`ve always been on the waiting list. This is my dream school, so I`m ready to go to hell and come back. We wish you good luck!!! Or if you`ve done something else, or if you`ve just filled out the waitlist form and waited, Stanford`s waitlist is so volatile every year that I don`t rely on anything. If we get it, it`s a bonus. There you go.
I was recently informed that I was placed on Stanford`s extended waiting list. They told me it was a list for people who are still being considered, even after “the vast majority” of candidates on the waiting list have been “released.” “Although we have released the vast majority of our candidates, we maintain a small, extended waiting list, and you are part of that group.” I do not know about that term, but I know of two people who were admitted to T-3 schools literally the day before classes started. So I`m wondering if anyone here who was admitted from a waiting list wrote a LOCI on admissions to Stanford that was separate from the text box on the waitlist response form. I bet they`ll put me back on the waiting list on July 1. A hypothetical school started with a WL of about 2,000 students, and 1,000 said yes. Once the school was crushed, all but 50 of the most desirable students were released, just in case the melt was greater than expected, usually in one or two hyper-targeted areas. The rest of the waiting list is released because they no longer have a realistic chance of being deducted. I did a summary of the cycle on a previous account some time ago – I received 6 waiting lists, 2 cancellations and 3 acceptances (now 4). My brain literally can`t understand that you had an LSAT 180.
and they have you.. put on the waiting list….?? I knew a classmate who was removed from the waiting list and is now attending SLS, but IIRC was close enough to the beginning of the school year that he was removed from the list. I don`t want to go to my dedicated school, so I`m really anxious. I was removed from the “extended” waiting list last year after emailing my Regional Admissions Officer! (I just added some random updates and a small section explaining why I want to visit Stanford). Just make these plans for the current school. Think of it as an investment in your WL school when you drop out. Otherwise, when school starts, you are SOL and have no place to live Apparently, I believe they publish waiting list decisions after the release of the result of the transfer (which in the last 4 years was May 7 or 8 – but not this year). When do you think we`ll hear about Stanford? It`s so atrocious. This likely means that about 50 vacancies and offers have been made to 75 people on the waiting list, 50 of which are expected to be accepted. I think I accidentally deleted my email from Stanford with waitlist instructions because all I can find now is that I resend the form via email.
I have a quick question about this, don`t they tell in several places (and several) not to send them anything except the text box in the answer form of the first waiting list? I`m also on the Stanford RN waiting list; As others say, the first round of waiting lists should be this Thursday, but I`m not going to stress and continue to enjoy the rest of my senior year. I`m a bot, and this action was done automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns. Has anyone heard that ppl has been removed from the waiting list this year? Why aren`t there any focus groups for us that Stanford has put on the waiting list this year? Are they just leaving fewer people on the waiting list this year? I agree with Richin Pitt – at this point, there are several people who wouldn`t visit Stanford on the waiting list. I recommend sending an ongoing letter of interest with updates and expressing your keen interest in visiting Stanford. Good luck! Writing an ongoing Letter of Interest (LOCI) if you have been deferred Please use this thread to update our progress with the Stanford waitlist so we can all better inform. I`m glad Stanford woke up and realized who they could forward if anyone had/heard any news, please update here. Thank you! I read somewhere that they publish the decisions every second Thursday of the month.
