Wilderness Moon Immersion Programs

The Wilderness Moon Immersion

Imagine paddling across a Wilderness Lake, to a wigwam camp on the far shore. Your guide takes you into camp to meet the clan, who are in the middle of preparing a meal of fresh-caught fish and succulent vegetables over the open fire. You are invited to sit in the place of honor at the hearth, which is typically reserved for guests and Elders. The scene takes your breath away, and you cannot believe your good fortune!

You have dropped in on the picturesque lakeshore camp called Nishnajida which is Ojibwe for camp where the Old Way returns. Surrounded by towering Pines and shimmering Birch, it is located adjacent to the pristine Headwaters Wilderness. Far from any town or highway, you are there with a select group of fellow seekers who have joined the Wilderness Guide Program for a full turn of the seasons. They welcome you to join them for a moon or more, as a fully participating clan member. You’ll learn what it is to be fully human and live by the original instructions you carry from your ancestors.

You have a choice of joining the clan in the Wilderness for one-to-three moons, at whatever time works best for you.
