Our clan is getting bigger: Coyote joined our hearth a couple of days ago, and Denise will be coming within the next few days. With that many people and the change of the seasons, we will probably move to the summer arbour fairly soon–more space there than in the lean-to, especially when it’s raining.

Today has been the first sunny day in a while, so I used the that opportunity to tan a hide and get a few others ready for stretching. The main frame of the skin canoe is finished, now I’ll be be putting on the ribs and prepare some more rawhide string for lashing. I’d like to get the canoe and some other craft projects finished for a few trips that I’d like to do this summer.
Life is exciting, and it feels good to be a part of this clan.
